##  Fever Extend Bibby's Contract Amid Clark Injury Absence

The Indiana Fever are riding high, boasting a three-game winning streak heading into Friday night's matchup against the Dallas Wings and their star Paige Bueckers. However, they'll be missing their own key player, Caitlin Clark, who has been sidelined since July 15th with a groin injury.  

Clark has already missed 14 of the Fever's 27 games this season, and there is still no set date for her return.

**Bibby Steps Up**

To fill the void left by Clark, the Fever signed Australian forward Chloe Bibby to a seven-day contract on July 25th.  After averaging 9.0 points in her first two games, the team announced Friday that they have signed Bibby for the remainder of the season.

The move was met with enthusiasm from fans:

* "Hopefully this isn’t an insurance policy because CC might have to hang it up for the duration of the season… I hope not," one fan commented.
* "Good Job guys. No need to play with another 7 day contract. We love Chloe over here." added another.
* "Good pick up. She’s been playing great and will excel even more once CC is back on the court," wrote a third.

**On-Court Success**

Bibby has made an immediate impact for the Fever, who have continued to play solid basketball despite Clark's absence. Through her first two games, she's shooting 44.4% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc.  She logged 13 minutes and scored 10 points in Wednesday’s thrilling win over the Phoenix Mercury, adding eight points in 11 minutes during her debut.


The Fever, now sitting at 15-12, have a chance to extend their winning streak against an 8-20 Wings team that's recently shown signs of life. Dallas is coming off an upset win over the New York Liberty on Monday and a close loss to the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday—proving they can compete with some of the league’s top teams.

## Fever's New Recruit: Jet Lag the Only Obstacle

**Indiana finds success amidst Caitlin Clark's absence, signing Australian forward Chloe Bibby to a seven-day contract.**

The Indiana Fever have been riding high recently, securing two consecutive wins and pushing their 2025 WNBA season record to 14-12 during Caitlin Clark's absence.  To fill the roster gap, the team brought in Australian forward Chloe Bibby on a temporary seven-day contract. 

Bibby, a former Maryland standout, has already seen action with the Golden State Valkyries this year, playing in five games and averaging 11 minutes per contest. She made an immediate impact in her Indiana debut, contributing eight points, two rebounds, and one block in a victory over the Chicago Sky.


**Crossing Continents for Victory: A Speedy Transition**

Prior to joining the Fever, Bibby was leading the Australian national team to a gold medal at the 2025 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup earlier this month.  This global journey may have presented its own challenges.

When asked about the hardest part of settling in with the Fever during Tuesday's media availability, Bibby responded directly: "The jet lag, to be honest, that's probably it." She did admit to catching up on some much-needed sleep earlier in the week, stating, "Slept like 10 hours the other day, so I feel good."

**Coach White Highlighting Bibby’s Impact**

Fever coach Stephanie White praised Bibby during practice leading up to Sunday's win over Chicago. She highlighted Bibby's ability to stretch the floor, create space for teammates, and contribute as a shooter.  White also emphasized the importance of integrating Bibby early into the lineup against the Sky's zone defense, stating, "Bringing in Chloe early and having four shooters around [Aliyah Boston] was important."
